24th Annual Meeting and International Awareness Conference
April 8-9, 2010
HIGHER EDUCATION, GLOBALIZATION, AND INTERNATIONALIZATION: COLLABORATING IN ECONOMICALLY CHALLENGING TIMES
The annual conference of Phi Beta Delta provides a welcoming and collegial venue for academicians, students, and professionals in all fields to engage in discussion and professional growth with others inside and outside of particular disciplines. Consequently, we encourage submissions representing all areas of study; ones that offer insight from multiple disciplines and perspectives are especially welcome.
As we gather together in the city of Philadelphia: The City of Brotherly Love, we seek to explore what it means to be a member of a society of international researchers faced with the challenges that the current global economy now presents us. How should higher education address these challenges to ensure that it can continue to further its mission to expand knowledge and understanding in a global context? What lessons have we learned from the past and what insights can we gain from our artistic, scientific, and literary expression of the human experience? How can these lessons help us to overcome the challenges of a changing and diverse global reality? Such questions will be explored. Join us! Please invite a colleague and a friend!
