25th Anniversary Conference A Huge Success |
Our Conference celebrating twenty-five years of Phi Beta Delta was a tremendous success, made even more successful with the presence of several of our founding members in attendance.
Dr. Edward S. Blankenship, (California State University, Long Beach and Alpha Chapter) Founder of Phi Beta Delta graciously shared with us his continued vision for Phi Beta Delta, and provided us with rich details about chartering our Society. Dr. Karl Anatol, (California State University, Long Beach and Alpha Chapter) first Executive Director of the Society, spoke with eloquence about our founding and about our continued success. We learned that Dr. Elaine Haglund (California State University, Long Beach and Alpha Chapter), who attended many of our sessions, was the driving force behind much of the implementation of Phi Beta Delta's chartering, including the choice of colors for our emblem as well as other impactful decisions that remain with us to this day. Dr. Jerry Wulk (University of Southern California and Beta Kappa Chapter) the first honorary member of the Society, graced us with his presence and shared many memories of Phi Beta Delta. More details and plenty of photos will follow!
